Unique place to get a drink or a bite to eat. Great view from the outdoor seating area. The inside is on the smaller side but the outdoor area makes it spacious. The restaurant is in the shape of old wooden ship. They had live music playing in the outdoor seating area. The music volume was good not overwhelming so you can still have a conversation. I had the Maine shrimp with clam cakes. It was good and a good amount. It more of a bar food kinda place so don't come expecting gourmet food. Great vibe here you'll have a great time!!

If you want to be near the beach while having a beer, this is your spot. Doesn't get much closer to the sand than this spot. Shaped like a boat, it's hard to miss this spot. They have pub fair and inexpensive beers. I had a good experience, and I can imagine with enough of those cheap beers and a little more sunshine one could have a great time at Pirates Patio. I'm not saying I won't go back but I'm not rushing back. It's a fun place to know about if you're cruising OOB with some friends and want a cheap beer. Our waitress was especially nice and accommodating and worth a mention here. I'll try to visit once more during the peak of summer and see if they can't convince me to tag on another star or two.

Pirates patio has always been one of my fave places in oob, I do love a dive bar, and this is it. Not fancy, but live music and cheap frozen margaritas in the afternoon is all I could ask for in a summer vacation. If I could change anything it would be the location of the washroom., but for the most part, I have always had fun, a and the waiters waitresses were always pleasant. I'll be back as soon as I get a chance. .

The manager here is incredibly rude. He is a large bearded guy who is is very intimidating; he followed me around the bar the entire night harassing me for ID, which I showed him every time. I am 22 years old and he treated me as if I was a teenager trying to sneak into a bar. Prices are cheap but being constantly watched and harassed ruined my night there. Pirate's is small and dingy, there's far better bars a 10 minute walk away in OOB.

Okay, one review here and I would have to say it could possibly be a friend? I only ask because I do not see ANY way this place could EVER have the best of anything.. Now, this is a tough review for me, why you ask (you probably didn't but I will tell you anyway) I LOVE dive bars! And that is EXACTLY what this bar is. You could actually walk right by this place from the street, it's an old pirate ship and looks like it may have just washed ashore and no one bothered moving it. We were staying literally right next door, you could see out patio room from the patio deck at the bar.. We went in around 4:30 and it was pretty busy. The bar itself, when you walk in, what a dump, looks like someone just walked through with a sledgehammer and went postal.. You walk through to the patio, which is all sand (which could be very annoying) but it was fine for us.. There was some live music being played, always a bonus, and we got a table in the back... Our waitress came to us pretty quickly.. We were hungry too, thought some apps.. My Brother ordered a Dos Equis, nope we ran out.. OK I will have a Sam Adams, nope we ran out.. How about you tell me what you do have? Sam Adams light... Ok I will take that... Brother says.. I am starving, get me a nice order of some fresh steamers... Nope we are out, delivery didn't get here yet... HUH?? I could not help but laugh.. Delivery?? Ah, um, hello.. What is that blue thing behind us, with all the waves crashing on to the beach, with all those fishing boats out there? They certainly have to come along distance to get them to you... Anyway.. He was pissed and just said forget it, get my sam light.. I tried ordering the sam seasonal off their menu, you guessed it... nope we are out.. Coors light it is!! Well.. she comes back.. MIRACLE! somehow the "delivery just arrived" and he will be able to have those steamers after all... I saw a sign for "jello shots" and asked.. How much for the jello shots? "Um, well, ah, not sure we have them and not sure how much they are".. excellent... Steamers come out.. Waitress says they DO have jello shots and we started downing those suckers... The steamers.. Well, if these just got delivered they better start getting them from a different ocean... They were bland.. Not sure how you manage that straight from the ocean? They must have come from the Pacific... But on dive bar scales, this place rocked.. Live music (was rather lame but was still live).. Nothing on the menu they say have.. Waitress who doesn't know what really is, and is not, on the menu.. Cheap Jello shots and only about 50% of the beers available they say they have.. That's as good as it gets on dive bar standards.. Below based on five stars SERVICE ** 1/2 FOOD * LOCATION **** MENU * RESTROOM * ATMOSPHERE *** OVERALL ** 1/2

We use to enjoy this on the beach location for music and pretty good bar food.... We returned this year and we were very disappointed . We went for the happy hour which was 3.00 domestic drafts ordered blue moon and we were told the only beer we could order for the special was miller lite which we were told they were out of. We ordered the nachos which we've had many times before and waited 20 minutes for a pile of burnt cheese on top of raw onions and jalapeños which we promptly sent back. The server was apologetic and was clearly new to watering. We also witnessed 2 other tables outside send their nachos back as well. We ended up with some frozen tasting chicken tenders which were mediocre at best. Oh I forgot to mention the Jell-O shots we ordered were liquid, promptly sent back. Such an ideal location such a shame that they can't at least deliver some decent food...
